Workpackages - Introduction

The ASTRO-WISE programme is split into 6 workpackages:
 

  1. WP1: Provide and operate processing facility of raw image data
  2. WP2: Provide tools for quering, searching and visualistion
  3. WP3: Provide Federated database
  4. WP4: Provide parallel processing power to ASTRO-WISE
  5. WP5: Provide data storage to ASTRO-WISE
  6. WP6: Coordination

The WP pages contain the information transferred from the contract and internal agreements as of the contract negotiations phase.

The WP pages are used to  list ACTION ITEMS,  persons involved, and monitoring the progress on the action items.

During contract negotiations the following distribution of workload over packages and partners was layed out (numbers represent man month)

--for Terapix numbers are according internal arrangements; differing from contract forms due to different cost modelling
